Privacy Policy
The boring but important stuff about how I handle your data.
Who I am
This website is operated by Dave Coleman, trading as Coleman Technical. Based in Staffordshire, UK. You can contact me at dave@colemantechnical.co.uk.
What data I collect
If you use the contact form, I collect your name, email address, phone number (if you provide it), and your message. That's it. I use this information to reply to you and to have a conversation about whether I can help. I don't sell it, share it, or do anything weird with it.
Analytics
This site uses Google Analytics to understand how people use it, like which pages are popular and where visitors come from. This data is anonymised and I can't identify you personally from it. If you'd rather not be tracked, most browsers have a "Do Not Track" setting or you can use an ad blocker.
Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies to work out if you've visited before. That's the only cookie this site uses. No marketing cookies, no tracking pixels, no third-party advertising nonsense.
Spam protection
The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to prevent spam. This is a privacy-friendly alternative to CAPTCHA that doesn't track you or make you click on traffic lights.
Your rights
Under GDPR, you have the right to see what data I hold about you, ask me to delete it, or ask me to stop processing it. In practice, if you've just sent me a contact form message, that's all I've got. If you want me to delete it, just ask.
How I store your data
Contact form submissions are sent to me via email. They're stored on secure servers and I don't keep them longer than necessary. I don't have a CRM full of people's details. If we work together, your information is stored securely as part of that working relationship.
Changes to this policy
If I change anything here, I'll update this page. I won't start doing anything unexpected with your data without telling you.
